🖤 The Wandering Witch: Brewing Magic in a Mobile Lair

Welcome to the inner sanctum of WhichCraft? Studio! If you have ever wondered where all of these dark, delightfully twisted embroidery designs are conjured up, the answer might surprise you: they are born on the road.
I run the entire studio out of a 2017 Jayco Northpoint fifth-wheel RV. It is my own personal mobile lair, currently soaking up the bright Florida sun while I sit inside designing things that belong in the shadows.

Living and running a business full-time in a fifth-wheel is an incredible adventure, but it definitely requires some creative witchcraft when it comes to organizing. My studio space is compact, which means every single cutting mat, spool of thread, and roll of faux leather has to earn its keep. I have had to master the art of blending my dark, gothic aesthetic with the practical reality of living in a rolling home.
Case in point: my embroidery machine actually sits up in the loft at shoulder level! Throwing a hoop and a design onto a machine at that height is a special kind of magic unto itself. It shares this lofty workspace with my baking racks and polymer clay tools—because why stop at just one dark art?
Of course, no witch is complete without her familiars. Every stitch-out, from the newest Bookworm Bookmark to the most complicated jacket patch, is heavily supervised by the studio cat and dog. They usually prefer to keep watch from the comfort of the living room below, ensuring the magic flows exactly as it should.
Running a mobile studio means that WhichCraft? Studio is wherever we park it. The inspiration outside my window might change, but the spooky, sophisticated magic brewing inside stays exactly the same.
Thank you for being part of this strange and wonderful journey with me!
Stay magical,
Mercy 🌙
